The Mayson Hotel Dublin wedding - Amy & Harvy

When Amy reached out to shoot the last day of her and Harvy’s FIVE DAY wedding ceremony, I couldn’t say yes quick enough I was so excited. A traditional Seekh wedding, the COLOURS, the HISTORY, the TRADITIONS. And it did not disappoint. Seeing two families from completely different back grounds come together seamlessly was amazing. But I won’t lie I was very nervous, I had never photographed anything like this and did not want to upset or offend anyone not on purpose of course but I like to get in on the action. My style is obviously very documentary but I did take a little step back on this one shot with a longer focal length and let this ceremony unfold the way it was meant but it did create for some very serene moments.

This was my 1st time in the very trendy Mayson Hotel, Dublin. It’s chilled and unique vibe was definitely fitting with the ceremony we had just came from but it is a very challenging venue, with dark rooms containing only ambient lighting and wooden walls it can get a bit tricky.
